Shoshanim deepens personal meaning, belonging, and community through Jewish ritual, learning, and connection, regardless of Jewish connection and affiliation.
Shoshanim, Inc. is a 501(c)(3) religious nonprofit organization based in Atlanta, Georgia. We offer Jewish life cycle ceremonies, holiday services, classes, and educational travel, led by Rabbi Ruth Abusch-Magder.
We welcome everyone: traditional, Israeli, interfaith, LGBTQ, and unaffiliated families and individuals. Our programs make the wisdom of Jewish tradition accessible and meaningful to all, regardless of faith background or religious education.
Shoshanim means “roses” in Hebrew. The organization is named for two inspiring women: Susan (Shoshana) Krassner Abusch and Rose Bucovetsky Magder.
Shoshanim received recognition as a 501(c)(3) tax-exempt organization from the IRS in July 2025, effective February 18, 2025.
Since receiving 501(c)(3) status, all of Rabbi Ruth's religious and educational work, including the services described at rabbiruth.com, has been carried out through Shoshanim. Rabbi Ruth is widely known in the community by name, so rabbiruth.com remains the place where many families first find and book her services.
